At this year's Nuremberg Music Fair, a number of left-handed instruments will be available to try out.
The “Linksgespielt” highlight will be a presentation of the mirrored keyboard on the Steingraeber transducer grand piano by several left-handed musicians:
On Sat April 5, 2025, 11:00-12:00, they will perform on the left-handed keyboard in the “Prag” exhibition room and talk about their experiences of left-handedness in piano playing. [-> Saturday exhibition program]
The mirror mode on the transducer grand piano can also be tried out on request at the Steingraeber trade fair stand.
Mollenhauer will have two left-handed recorder models with them:
a “Fipple” - the new beginner soprano recorder with a plastic head
and a Denner treble recorder made of Castello boxwood
At the stand of the company Berndt & Marx, which sells and rents out string instruments of various sizes, you can play a left-handed 4/4 violin and a violoncello of the same size.
Come along to our presentation of the mirrored keyboard on Saturday at 11 a.m. and feel free to contact us with your questions and experiences!
Interviews with left-handed playing musicians of various instruments around the world can be found here.
